In today’s global media, cross-cultural spread of idol images and fan culture often leads to misreading and stereotypes. This project examines how Chinese and European fan cultures misunderstand each other for example, Chinese fans’ focus on control is seen as “artificial” in Europe, while Europe’s satirical style appears “loose” or “offensive” in China. Using collage, image juxtaposition, and typography, the work reveals cultural biases and visual differences, sparking dialogue on how we see and miss each other.
